To Change the Value of Multiple Cells in a BOM (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

You can change the value of multiple cells in a BOM in one go, but they must be in the same column.

  1. Click Annotate tabBOM panelBOM. Find
  2. Press ENTER.
  3. In the BOM List panel, right-click the BOM to edit and select Set current. The icon indicates the current BOM.
  4. Click the first cell and then SHIFT-click the last cell of the range.
    Note:
    • You cannot select non-contiguous rows.
    • All cells must be from the same column.
  5. In the toolbar, click . The Set Value dialog box is displayed.
  6. If the cells contain text only, enter the new value for the cells in the Value box.
  7. To set the same value for all the cells in the selected range (if the cells contain a numeric value):
    1. In the Start value box, enter the value to set for all the cells.
    2. In the Step box, enter 0 (zero).
  8. To change the cell values by specifying a starting number and an increment value (if the cells contain a numeric value):
    1. In the Start value box, enter the number of the first cell in the range.
    2. In the Step box, enter the increment value.
  9. To change the cell value by adding a fixed value to the cells in the range (if the cells contain a numeric value):
    1. Select the Add option.
    2. In the Value box, enter the fixed value by which to increase the existing values.
  10. Click OK until all dialog boxes close.
