  1. Click Home tabModify panelCopy. Find
  2. In the drawing area, select any symbol, and copy it to an empty area.
  3. In the drawing area, double-click the symbol you created in step 2.
  4. Click Import. The Select File dialog box is displayed.
  5. Choose the .dwg or .dwt file that contains the desired Library.
    Note: You can only import a library that is based on the same standard and revision as the edge symbol you are editing.
    Note: You can import a symbol library from another drawing. However, the drafting standard and revision of the symbol you are importing must be the same in both drawings. You may be able to import a symbol library of another revision (but same standard) providing the following conditions are met.
    • The symbol library you are importing was last saved in a version of AutoCAD Mechanical toolset that is different to the one you are currently using.
    • The current drawing does not contain the revision you are trying to import.
  6. Select the method of import;
    • To remove the existing library and replace it with the imported library, select Replace.
    • To append the imported library to the existing library while overwriting symbols with the same names, select Overwrite.
    • To append the imported library to the existing library while renaming symbols with the same name, select Append.
  7. Click OK. The program adds the imported edge symbols to the library.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Delete the symbol you created in step 2.
