AMSEDIT (Command)

Adds, removes or copies geometry to the currently activated folder or component view.

Before you invoke this command, you must activate the folder or component view you want to add objects to or remove objects from.

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Add

Adds selected objects to the currently activated folder or component view.

• Select objects - Specifies the objects to add to the activated view or folder. You can only select objects that don’t belong to the active folder or component view. You can add elemental geometries as well as component views or folders. Inspect the tooltip that appears when you click an object to verify that you are selecting the correct entity (geometry or component view/folder as the case may be)

Remove

Removes selected objects from the currently activated folder or component view.

• Select objects - Specifies the objects to copy to the activated view or folder. You can only select objects that belong to the active folder or component view. You can remove elemental geometries as well as component views or folders. Inspect the tooltip that appears when you click the object to verify that you are selecting the correct entity (geometry or component view/folder as the case may be)

Copy

Creates copies of the selected objects and adds them to the currently activated folder or component view.

• Select objects - Specifies the objects to copy to the activated view or folder. You can only select objects that don’t belong to the active folder or component view. You can add elemental geometries as well as component views or folders. Inspect the tooltip that appears when you click the object to verify that you are selecting the correct entity (geometry or component view/folder as the case may be)
