Factory Update Settings Tab
The Factory Update Settings tab of the Options dialog enables you to specify options that automatically update files with any existing changes from the LAYOUTDATA file.
This tab includes options that affect the automatic file updates and notifications in all Factory Design Applications including Inventor, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. The settings will take effect when you reopen a Factory layout file.
Note: If you use only one of these applications, you can deselect these options. When you deselect them, the performance of your application may improve.
To change the update settings:
At the bottom of the Application menu
, click Options.The Options dialog opens.
On the Factory Update Settings tab, specify the following settings:
Auto-update the DWG file from the LAYOUTDATA file
- [Default] Select to automatically update the DWG file to match the LAYOUTDATA file.
- Deselect if you prefer to manually update the DWG file.
Tell me if the DWG file is out of date with the LAYOUTDATA file
- Select to receive notifications when the DWG file is out of date with the LAYOUTDATA file.
Note: This option is only visible if the Auto-update the DWG file... option is deselected.
