Place Core Pin Reference

Places a core pin in the mold.

Access:
  On the Core/Cavity tab, click Place Core Pin.

Design

Type Select a type of core pin from the drop-down box.
Note: You can filter the display of types using the Vendor and Category drop-down fields.
Placement - Linear Place a core pin on a plane and set its position according to two perpendicular straight edges.
Face

Specifies a plane in the graphics window.

Reference 1

Specifies the first edge as the locating reference.

Reference 2

Specifies the second edge as the locating reference.

Direction

Controls the direction of the reference.

Placement - Concentric Place a core pin on a plane, and set its position according to a circular edge, arc edge, or cylindrical face.
Face

Specifies a plane in the graphics window.

Concentric Reference

Specifies a circular edge, arc edge, or cylindrical face in the graphics window.

Input Length Value Manually

Specifies the length of the core pin. If this check box is cleared, Mold Design recommends the length.

 
Trimmed by Product

Forces the product surface and the parting surface to trim core pi . The interferences that you place later, such as another core pin, an insert, or an ejector, trim the core pin.

Anti-rotation

Enables the Anti-rotation tab and adds an anti-rotation feature on a cylindrical core pin.

Key Slot

Cuts the heel of the core pin and adds a stadium-shaped counterbore aligned with the edge of the heel of the core pin.

Rectangle Slot

Cuts the heel of the core pin and adds a rectangular counterbore, aligned with the edge of the heel of the core pin.

Insert Pin

Adds a counterbore to hold the heel of the core pin, and specifies a stop pin to insert into the core pin.

Side Pin

Cuts the heel of the core pin, and adds a counterbore to hold the core pin and the optional stop pin. The stop pin is tangential to the cut edge of the core pin and the bottom plane of the core pin.

Include Stop Pin

Creates a stop pin to avoid rotation of the core pin.
