Modify legacy published Frame Generator content

You can use or modify published frame shapes in Frame Generator. First, use one of the following workflows if you either:

Modify content published to CC - with original iPart

Before you begin, verify that Content Center is connected, and a writable library is attached to the project. This procedure requires that you know how to create an iPart, and how to use Structural Shape Authoring.

  1. Open the iPart.
  2. Modify the iPart to fulfill the model requirements for structural shape authoring:
    • Create two planes offset from the XY plane.
    • Create three parameters.
    • Extrude the feature using From To extents.
Note: For information about the modeling requirements, see Create Parts - Include Modeling Requirements.
  3. Click Structural Shape Authoring, and then author and publish the iPart to the Content Center.

The part is now available in the Content Center from Frame Generator.

Modify content published to writable library - no iPart

Before you begin, verify that Content Center is connected, and the writable library with the content you published is attached to the current project.

  1. Create an assembly.
  2. Place any member of the content from the Content Center. The part is placed as Custom.
