Use the Coordinates list to specify the origin for the Co-ordinates dialog. Select:
- CMM Co-ordinates to display the mounting position of the probe relative to the origin of the measuring device.
- CMM Probe Tip Co-ordinates to display the position of the stylus centre relative to the origin of the measuring device.
- CAD Co-ordinates to display the position of the stylus centre relative to the origin of the CAD model. This option is available only when the document is connected to a measuring device and the active alignment is measured.
- Common CMM Co-ordinates to display the position of the stylus centre relative to the origin specified during configuration of a dual-column measuring device.
- Alternative CMM Co-ordinates to display the position of the stylus centre relative to a user-specified location. To specify the location, position the probe at the point you want to use as the origin, then click the X=0, Y=0 and Z=0 buttons to zero each axis.
Specifying alternative CMM coordinates does not affect the CMM coordinate system. The alternative coordinates last only for the duration of the session.
Note: The Co-ordinates dialog is available for all measuring devices.
