To create a CAD View State item

Use CAD View State to save the current position, zoom, and orientation of the CAD view. Use it to automatically change the view of the model as you progress through the inspection sequence.

To create a CAD View State item:

  1. In the CAD view, select the position, zoom, and orientation for the item.
  2. Click Measure tab > Items panel > CAD View State. PowerInspect records the CAD view and adds a CAD View State item to the inspection sequence.
  3. In the Sequence Tree, double-click the item. The CAD View State dialog is displayed.
  4. Enter a Name for the item.
  5. By default, CAD View State items use the animation settings in the CAD View page of the Options dialog to control the time taken to change the CAD view. To override these settings, deselect the Use global check box, and then enter an Animation time for the transition.
  6. Click OK to close the dialog and add the item to the inspection sequence. The CAD view switches to the saved view each time you play the item.

To update the view displayed by a CAD View State item, select the new position, zoom, and orientation, then right-click the item and select Record State from the context menu.
