About transferring the NC Program file to the machine-tool controller

You can transfer the NC Program file to an OMV machine-tool controller using one of the following methods.

• By file transfer.
• By connecting the PC running PowerInspect to the controller using a serial cable, and then using an application to communicate between the PC and the controller.

The transfer method you choose depends on the machine-tool controller.

When you have transferred the NC Program file to the controller, run the inspection sequence on the machine tool. When the inspection is complete, import the results intoPowerInspect so you can view them.

Note: Before running the probe paths stored in the NC Program file on the machine-tool controller, make sure the controller is configured to save its measurement data and the probe is calibrated.
