To label the point that has the greatest positive deviation from the CAD surface in a specified area of a point cloud, click View tab > Label panel > Point-Cloud > Label Maximum Positive Deviation.
To label the point, right-click the CAD view and choose an option to specify the area-selection method. Select:
- Single Point to label points individually. To label a point, left-click it.
- Rectangle to pick the point from a rectangle. To specify the rectangle, left-click and hold, then drag the cursor. When the rectangle is the correct size, release the mouse button.
- Lasso to pick the point from a free-form shape. To specify the shape, left-click and hold, then drag the cursor. When the cursor changes to
, left-click again to close the shape.
- Sphere to pick the point from a sphere. To specify the sphere, left-click and hold, then drag the cursor. When the sphere is the correct size, release the mouse button.
To control the information that is displayed in labels, click View tab > Labels panel > Show Global Label Settings.
Note: A warning message may be displayed when you select a large number of points. Click Continue to label the worst point from all the selected points; click Cancel to cancel the operation and change your selection.
