Create a snapshot of the Graphics window and display it in a report.
To add a screenshot of the CAD View to an inspection report:
- In the
CAD View tab of the Graphics window, display the model and select the zoom, position, and orientation you want to show in the report.
- Click
.
Alternatively, click
.
- Enter a
Name for the image.
- Choose one of the following from the
CAD View replay type drop-down menu to specify the action of the CAD View Report item when it is played.
- No action — Leave the CAD View unchanged.
- CAD View state — Restore the CAD View to the zoom, position, and orientation used when this item was created.
- Full state restore — Restore
PowerInspect to its
exact state when this item was created. Take care when selecting
Full state restore. It can change the document's selections, visibility settings, and display modes when the item is played.
- To include the image, enable
Output in
. To exclude the image from a report, disable
Output in, so that the button changes to
.
Note: Whether you include or exclude the image here, you can later enable or disable
Output in Report in the
Control panel of the
Report tab on the ribbon.
- Select
Portrait or
Landscape to specify the orientation of the view in the report.
- By default, the view is displayed in the report at full size. If you want to resize the report view, enter a scaling factor in the
Width box. Alternatively, to scale the view to fit a report page, select
Occupy whole page.
- Choose a
Printing
option to specify how CAD views are treated when printing the report. Select:
- Page break before image to force the view to start on a new page.
- Page break after image to force following information onto a new page.
- Optionally, to include inspection information with the image, select a template option from Page 2 of the dialog.
By default, no information is included in the image displayed in the report.
For each row in the template table, click the
Source field, then click the down arrow, and choose an option from the list. Select:
- Measure to use the value specified in the currently selected Measure. This option is available only when a value is specified for this field in the current Measure.
- Document to use the value specified in the document template. This option is available only when a value is specified for this field in the document settings.
- Template to use the default value for this template.
- Alternatively, to enter a value, click the
Value field and overtype the text.
- Click
OK to close the dialog, add the image to the inspection sequence, and display it in the Report tab of the Graphics window.
Note: To change the report view to match the current CAD View or Section view, right-click the
CAD View Report item in the inspection sequence, and then select
Record State from the context menu. To change the CAD View or Section view to match the report view, right-click the
CAD View Report item in the inspection sequence, and then select
Restore View from the context menu.
