Specify how probe assemblies are calibrated.
The following options are displayed.
The position of the probe tip is calculated from the measured offsets of the probe head and probe tool, and the effective probe diameter is calculated from the probe measurements.
When you perform the calibration, the Calibration and Positions dialog displays and the position of the probe tip is calculated from the measured offset of probe tool and the nominal offset of the probe head. In addition, the nominal probe diameter is used to calculate probe compensation.
If the difference between the calculated offsets of the previous and the new position exceeds this value, a warning message displays. You can accept or reject the new calibration.
