Digitised Curves page (Options Dialog)

Specify the defaults for creating and displaying digitised curves.

Note: This page is available only when creating inspections for CNC and Manual machines.

The following options are displayed.

• Default spline tolerance — Maximum distance by which a digitised curve can vary from the measured position of the probed points.

  Higher values create a smooth curve that takes an averaged path through the points and masks surface flaws. Lower values create a curve that passes through more points for a more accurate surface representation.

  Note: You can override the spline tolerance for individual curves using the Curve Sketching Options dialog.
• Polyline — Select to create polylines by default when probing digitised curves.

  Clear to create spline curves.

• Visible columns — Select which measurement columns are shown in the Digitised Points tab by default.

  Clear boxes for the columns you want omit.
