To reposition the calibration sphere

Move or replace the calibration sphere, or replace it with another sphere.

Note: Positioning of the calibration sphere is required only when creating inspections for CNC machines or manual CMMs.

1. In the Machine tab, click Calibration.
2. Click Change. The Calibration Sphere Repositioning Wizard is displayed.
3. Enter the diameter and name of the calibration sphere.
4. Specify the direction of the sphere's stem in machine coordinates.
5. Click Next and follow the instructions to probe the sphere.

When you complete the wizard, PowerInspect recalculates all existing calibrations relative to the new sphere's size and position.
