The Dynamic Points Editor enables you to create and position probe points on the CAD model for use in alignments and inspection groups.
To enable the Dynamic Points Editor, select Home tab > Mouse Context panel > Dynamic Points Editor. The Dynamic Points context tab is displayed, and in the CAD view the cursor changes to
to indicate you are in edit mode.
- To create a dynamic point, double-click its location on the model. The point is displayed as an arrow orientated in the direction of the point's normal. To view or change the details of points, select the Dynamic Points tab.
- To select multiple points, hold down the Shift key as you left-click each point. Alternatively, left-click and hold, drag the cursor to draw a rectangle, then release the mouse button.
- To deselect the selected points, left-click the CAD view.
- To reposition a point, left-click and hold the point, drag it to the new location, then release the mouse button.
- To reorder the point labels, hold down the Ctrl key and then left-click the points in the new order.
- To delete the selected points, press the Delete key.
When you have created and positioned the points on the model, use the Dynamic Points context tab to create alignments and inspection groups.
