Display Options
The following options are displayed.
- Draw coloured tolerance scale — Display a legend for inspection groups and point cloud groups displayed in the CAD view and in the Report tab.
The legend shows the value range that each confetti colour represents.
- Draw CAD datum in place — Display the CAD datum. The location of the datum is set when you create an alignment item.
- Draw graduated confetti — Display confetti using a graduated colour scale. Deselect this check box to display confetti in red, green, and blue.
- Draw target guiding line — Display a line between the probe tip and target point, in full-screen measurement mode, when using guided inspections and measuring geometric items with probe paths.
- Feature warning box — Display information messages in the Features tab.
- Draw nominals of measured geometric items — Display both the nominal and measured shapes of items in the CAD view.
- Show angles with minutes and seconds — Display and enter angles as degrees, minutes, and seconds. Clear this check box to display angles in decimal format.
- Use rounded error value to determine measure state — Determine the tolerance status using the error value rounded to the specified Number of Decimal Places.
By default,
PowerInspect determines if a measured item is within tolerance using the exact calculated error value.
Note: Using rounded error values is useful when the accuracy of the measuring device is limited to a few decimal places.
- Planes — Specify which planes are displayed in the CAD view:
- Hide planes — Do not display probed planes items.
- Hide planes for single points — Do not display the planes of probed single point items. When you create a probed single point item, the CAD view displays a plane to indicate the surface on which the point lies.
- Hide planes for compound items — Do not display the plane component of compound items.
- Number of decimal places — Number of decimal places displayed for numeric values.
- Number of digits for angle — Number of digits displayed for angle values. This setting has no effect when Show Angles With Minutes and Seconds is selected.
- Number of digits for unitless values — Number of digits displayed for values with no unit of measurement, such as unit vectors.
