To export surfaces

Use the Export Selection option to export selected surfaces for use in modelling applications. You can export to IGES, Triangle STL or DMT Triangle formats.

To export the surfaces:

1. Select Home tab > Mouse Context panel > Surface Selector.
2. Select the surfaces you want to export.
3. Right-click the CAD view and select the Export Selection option from the context menu. The Save As dialog is displayed.
4. In the Save in list, select the folder in which you want to save the surface file.
5. Type a name for the surfaces in the File name box.
6. In the Save as type list, select the format in which you want to export the surfaces.
7. Click Save to save the data and close the dialog.
