Adding additional Mold Locks

When you have created locks for a specific layout, you cannot add more locks to the layout. Selecting the layout from the layout options only adds the created locks to the list, allowing you to edit them. The only exception to this is custom layout, where preview locks can be created even when created custom locks already exist.

The following example illustrates the way selecting different layouts is handled.

  1. Select the cavity and core inserts using Mold Lock Wizard - Page 1 dialog.
  2. Select the first layout and create preview locks. Click Apply to create the locks. These are now classed as created locks.

Each time you return to this layout, these created locks are displayed and can be edited. However, you cannot add any further locks to this layout.

  3. Select the second layout . This creates preview locks for this layout.
  4. Switch back to the first layout . The previously created locks are displayed and the preview locks are hidden.

Selecting the second layout will display the preview locks again.

Note: When you switch to a layout that contains created locks, preview locks are undrawn but not deleted. Preview locks are deleted only when you switch to a layout that contains no created locks or you delete them.
