Add Roombook Data to Revit Schedules

Learn how to display Roombook data in Revit Schedules.

Add the Roombook specific room quantities to your project

  1. Click Insert tab Import panel Insert from File drop-down Insert Views from File.
  2. In the Open dialog, navigate to the Roombook Library.
  3. Select the schedule template for your project standard and language.
  4. Click Open.
  5. In the Insert Views dialog, select the schedules for your project.
  6. Click OK to import the selected schedules.
  7. Calculate areas and generate schedule data

  8. Click Quantities tab Roombook Extension panel (Calculate Room Quantities).
  9. In the Calculate Room Quantities dialog, under Generate Project Data per Material, select from the following:
    • Generate Project Data per Material. Specifies project data for each surface material in the project will be calculated with the room quantity
    • WS - Wall Surfaces (Side Surfaces). Includes wall surface material data.
    • FS - Floor Surfaces. Includes floor surface material data.
    • CS - Ceiling Surfaces. Includes ceiling surface material data.
    • SL - Side Lengths (Room Circumference). Includes room circumference material data.
    • FE - Furniture Elements. Includes furniture element material data.
    • RQ - All Room Quantities. Includes all specified material data.
    Note: Only generate project data if necessary. This has a significant effect on performance and visual clarity of the project due to the many generated Finish IDs.
  10. Click Calculate to update the calculated room quantity data.
  11. Click OK to close the Calculate Areas dialog. The Roombook schedules now display calculated room quantity data.
