Available in Hidden Line, Shaded, and Realistic styles, transparent effects can be set on an entire view, category, filter, or element.
When you adjust the transparency setting on your model, you literally reveal what lies beyond the solid surfaces.
Transparency can be useful when you want to provide a more complete look at an entire model. For example, you can display what is behind the façade as you view the approach to a building. Or, from the building interior, you can set transparent surfaces specifically to visualize what is behind solid elements, such as walls or pipes.
To apply to the entire view, access the transparency slider directly from the Model Display panel on the Graphic Display Options dialog.
To apply to a category, filter, or an element, access Surface Transparency by right-clicking in the drawing area, and selecting Override Graphics in View.
