Autodesk Vault Office is a separate product available for purchase, which provides basic vaulting capabilities for non-CAD users. Autodesk Vault Office delivers single document check-in and checkout via the Vault mobile app and the add-in, allowing you to manage all of your office data, including word documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Using Autodesk Vault Office, you can organize all of your files and keep them in one location for easy access. All file versions are retained, so you never misplace or replace past versions. The vault stores each version of a file, along with any file dependencies, giving you a living history of the project as you work on it. The vault also stores file properties, such as the user name, date, and comments, for rapid searching and retrieving.
Once Autodesk Vault Office is installed, a new ribbon tab and menu items are added to the Office application.
