Time Series Data files are a set of ASCII files that store a series of time varying values at specific locations. The format has been developed to provide a flexible way of storing large quantities of time series data from different sources so that the data can be imported into InfoWorks.
The files provide a simple, flexible and consistent file format for export from different data stores, such as telemetry and logger systems.
Each Time Series Data store or set of files includes:
The keys in the TSD file are used to relate information such as location, data type and units to the values in the DAT files.
Figure 1 below shows the file and folder structure. For each TSD file there is a sub-folder with the same name (without the .tsd extension). The associated DAT files are stored in this sub-folder.
