Alias 2026 includes a new Soft Proportional Modification tool, which allows you to proportionally modify selected CVs. The tool uses color mapping of vertices to indicate the amount of selection falloff applied to the CVs.
The CVs most affected display in light yellow with colors growing darker to indicate the gradual decrease in the influence applied to them. CVs least affected display dark blue. This tool is particularly useful with subdivision modeling workflows for selecting and transforming several CVs at the same time.
Keep the control window open so that you can adjust the tool settings as you work. For example, you can switch between two Falloff Types and see how they affect the selection. You can also change how you select CVs to pick what you want to modify with greater precision.
Access this tool from the Transform tool Palette.
