Network Isolation Trace

The Network Isolation Trace functionality identifies regions of a Distribution Network that are isolated from a source of water.

To carry out a Network Isolation Trace:

1. Optionally select valve nodes to be treated as closed. Select the valves manually or by using an SQL query e.g. query on valve objects "status = closed".

   All unselected valves will be treated as open.

2. Choose Tracing tools | Network isolation trace from the GeoPlan menu.

All objects that cannot be traced to a source (i.e. a borehole, tank or surface source object) without passing through a closed valve will be selected, in addition to the valves selected in Step 1.

A Network Isolation Trace log containing a list of nodes isolated from a source of water will be displayed.
