To change the map control

  1. Choose Options from the Tools menu. This displays the Options dialog.
  2. On the GeoPlan tab, choose the required Map Control.
    Note:
    • An option of None may be selected to display the GeoPlan without using a map control.
    • You must be logged into ArcGIS online to select ArcGIS Maps.
  3. Click OK.

Map control compatibility

Note that ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Maps cannot be used immediately after the ArcGIS Engine or ArcGIS Maps map control has been used in the software (and vice versa). You will need to restart the software for the map control changes to take effect.
