Create a duct connector.
A duct is a pipe or closed conduit, made of sheet metal, fiberglass board, or other suitable material. It is used for distributing air to and from a supply source. An example is an air handling unit.
On the ribbon, click Environments tab Begin panel
BIM Content .
On the BIM Content tab MEP Connectors panel, click Duct
, or, in the browser, expand the MEP System Connections icon, right-click the Duct node, and click Add Connector.
In the Duct Connector dialog box, select a shape for the connector.
Select a face to place and position the connector. The location of the connector appears as a cylindrical arrow on the selected Autodesk Inventor part or assembly.
Optionally, clear the Inferred check box next to the size box, and enter a value.
If the box is not selected, the size values are static. If selected, the size values are linked to the size of the selected face.
On the System Type drop-down list, click a system type.
In the Properties list, enter values.
The available properties vary, depending on the System Type you select.
To continue to add connectors, click Apply. To create the connector and close the dialog box, click OK.
