To position a variable placeholder

Place fields in the document where the reported values are to be displayed.

Note: These steps are performed in LibreOffice Writer, not in Netfabb, and make use of the Fields dialog as explained in To create a report template.

This is the "Show variable" step.

1. In the Type list, select Show variable.
2. In the Select list select NETFABB_PLATFORM_VOLUME.
3. Click in the main document window and place the cursor where the placeholder field should be put.
4. Click on the Fields dialog again.
5. Click Insert.

The NETFABB_REPORTTYPE variable field does not need to be placed visibly to be detected by Netfabb.
