To define the report type

The report type determines whether a part selection must exist when calling the report and which variables can be used.

Note: These steps are performed in LibreOffice Writer, not in Netfabb, and make use of the Fields dialog as explained in To create a report template.

1. In the Type list, select Set variable.
2. In the Format list, select Text.
3. In the Name field type NETFABB_REPORTTYPE, in all-capital letters.
4. In the Value field type PLATFORM, in all-capital letters.
5. Check to enable Invisible.
6. Click in the main document window and place the cursor in the first line.
7. Click on the Fields dialog again.
8. Click Insert.

Important: Defining the report type is always necessary. All other variables are technically optional.
