Workflow: Create a Piping Specification

Use the Spec Editor to create a piping spec.

  1. To Create Specs
    Create a spec sheet.
  2. About Browsing Piping Catalogs
    You can browse a catalog to select a piping component and add it to a spec.
  3. To Add Piping Components from a Catalog
    Add a component to a spec that is currently a placeholder in the model. You can also modify an existing component in the spec.
  4. To Modify Piping Components in a Spec
    In a spec, you can add or remove component sizes, set component properties, and update it with catalog changes. You can also set new or different properties and descriptions, remove unwanted sizes, and add out-of-range sizes from a catalog.

    Assign Part Use Priority.

    Copy piping spec files to your project spec sheets folder. You can also set the spec sheets folder.
