To Add Piping Components from a Catalog

Add a component to a spec that is currently a placeholder in the model. You can also modify an existing component in the spec.

Browse a catalog for piping components and select the components (parts) to add to the spec.

Add Components to a Spec

1. On the Catalog Browser, click the button on the left side of the search bar to enable the property filter.
   
2. In the Short Description dropdown list, select CAP.
3. In the Material dropdown list, select DI/GI.
4. Specify a size range (for example, 3” to 12”).
5. Click Add to Spec.
   Note: To modify additional properties, such as Long Description, you can edit them in the Spec Sheet pane after the part is added to the spec.

Copy Components in the Same Spec

1. In the spec sheet, select one or multiple components.
2. In the Edit menu, click Copy.
3. In the Edit menu, click Paste.
Note: You can also copy from the toolbar button or the shortcut menu.

Copy Components to a Different Spec

1. In the spec sheet, select one or multiple components.
2. In the Edit menu, click Copy.
3. Use the spec dropdown list to switch to a different specification, or open a different specification.
4. In the Edit menu, click Paste.
Note: You can also open a different specification before pasting.

Remove components from a spec sheet

1. In the spec sheet, select one or multiple components.
2. Click Remove from Spec.
