About Creating Project Backups

Create project backups to ensure that all project data, including files, settings, and configurations, are fully preserved.

To back up your project, create a backup of an active project. Before starting the backup process, specify the save location for the backup and confirm that the selected location has enough storage space to accommodate it.
After completing the backup process, navigate to the backup location to verify the backup and make sure all necessary data has been accurately copied.
Backing up is particularly useful for collaboration projects, allowing you to create a local copy of your existing collaboration project and have an up-to-date version readily available. If Project Setup or drawings are checked out by other users in collaboration projects, a warning message displays. You can still proceed with the backup, but unsaved changes are not included.
