Define Cable Types

Define the cable types available in your model.

Define the following for each cable type available in your model:

• Name
• Conductor Material
• Temperature Rating
• Insulation Material
• Core Type

Cable types are used when creating circuits. For additional information see: Circuit Properties.

Add an Entry

1. Click "+ Add"
2. Select the highlighted row and supply a value for Conductor Material, Temperature Rating, Insulation Material for each cable type.
   Note: The fields use a drop-down selection. The list is populated with the conductor details defined in the model. See Define Conductor Details for additional information.
3. Set the Core Type to Single=Core or Multi-Core.
4. In the side panel on the right, select or clear the cable sizes available for the cable type.
   Note: The side panel may be hidden in the dialog. Click the control on the right to show or hide the side panel.
   Note: The cable sizes selected as Useable here will be available for selection when using the cable type in a circuit. For additional information see: Circuit Properties.

Edit/Delete Entry

1. Select the row for change.
   Note: Use the search bar at the top to locate an entry in the table. Utilize the sorting control near the column headers to arrange the columns in ascending or descending order. Column widths may be adjusted to make the headings more readable.
2. Use the drop-down list or edit the value, or click Delete above the table to remove the entry.
