Sync rules control which Vault Items synchronize to Fusion Manage and what data the connector includes during synchronization. You configure sync rules in the Sync Rules tab of the Vault Connector Mappings dialog.
Sync rules have two components: sync behaviour settings and criteria rules. Together, these settings determine both what gets synced and which Items are eligible.
The sync behaviour setting applies globally to all Sync to Fusion Manage actions. It controls the scope of data that the Vault Connector transfers during synchronization.
You can choose one of two options:
Criteria rules define conditions that Vault Items must meet before the connector syncs them to Fusion Manage. Each rule specifies a Vault property, a condition, and a value.
When you configure multiple criteria rules, the connector evaluates them using AND logic. An Item must satisfy every rule to be eligible for synchronization. For example, if you add two rules -- one for Category Name and one for Title -- only Items that match both conditions sync to Fusion Manage.
To build a criteria rule, you select:
Configured criteria rules display in a table that shows the Vault Property and Value for each rule. You can add, replace, or remove rules as needed. Each rule must be unique. If you add a duplicate, the connector displays an error.
When no criteria rules are configured, all Items are eligible for synchronization.
When you attempt to sync an Item that does not match the configured criteria rules, the Vault Connector displays an error: "Selected Item/s does not meet the sync rules that has been configured." The sync does not proceed for those Items.
Items that meet the criteria rules sync normally based on the selected sync behaviour setting.
You can reset the Sync Rules tab to its default configuration at any time. This clears all criteria rules and restores the sync behaviour to Item & BOM.
