The Home tab is the application start page, providing a central entry point to the application, giving you quick access to databases and key resources before you begin working in the standard workspace layout.
The Home tab opens automatically whenever no tab is open in the GeoPlan Window. For example, if you start InfoWorks ICM without selecting a database, or if all GeoPlan tabs are closed, the Home tab will be displayed.
The main banner displays featured sample databases. These often showcase specific capabilities, including newly introduced features. You can choose to add a sample database to an existing database or create a new one. Once opened, the database is displayed in the standard workspace layout within the GeoPlan and associated windows.
On the left side of the Home tab, database buttons provide direct access to your available databases and allow you to create a new one, whether your database is stored on-premise or on-cloud.
The Discover section highlights curated content such as product updates, learning resources, and announcements. The content in this area may change over time.
The Quick Links panel provides access to commonly used resources and community shortcuts, helping you quickly navigate to key information.
Once a database is opened, the GeoPlan and other workspace windows (such as the Explorer Window and subsidiary panels) are displayed in the standard layout.
If the Home tab has been closed, you can reopen it at any time from the File menu in the Main Menu.
