About Data Exchanges for Inventor

What's New: 2023

Data Exchanges are a cloud-based method of enabling you to share your data more easily across apps and teams you work with every day.

To create data exchange packages from Inventor data you need to do the following:

Download the Data Exchange Connector for the version of Inventor in use.
Follow the instructions to install the connector. Inventor should not be running.
Start Inventor, in the Ribbon Tools tab Options panel click Add-ins and confirm the connector is loaded.
Open a dataset you want to exchange.
In the Ribbon Collaborate tab click Data Exchange and follow the instructions to create the exchange package.
