Accelerated Graphics Workflow

Enable accelerated graphics in specific views of your model.

Use accelerated graphics to zoom, pan or rotate your model in a faster way. Once you get to the area of interest, in these accelerated views you can further create new items or make changes.

New and existing views are not in accelerated mode unless enabled in the current session of Revit. Using accelerated graphics does not modify the model in any way. The accelerated state is turned off between sessions of Revit and is not saved when the model is saved or closed.

To enable accelerated graphics:

  1. Open the view.
  2. Click the control on the onscreen toolbar to enable accelerated graphics mode.
Note: Accelerated graphics mode must be enabled and the onscreen toolbar enabled for this option. For additional information, see: Enable/Disable Accelerated Graphics.
  3. Optional: right-click a view, and select Accelerated Graphics.
  4. Once activated, the view will display a colored border.

Exit the accelerated graphics mode by disabling it in the onscreen menu, the right-click menu, by closing the view, or closing the model.
