Results and Compare

Note: To use this feature, you must sign in to Autodesk 360 by clicking ServicesServices Sign In, and entering the User ID and password associated with your Autodesk account.

To access the Results and Compare dialog, click Analyze tabEnergy Analysis panel Results & Compare.

After performing one or more conceptual energy analyses, use this dialog to view the results of a simulation or to see multiple simulations in a side-by-side comparison.

Viewing results

In the Results and Compare dialog, click the Results tab to see current and previous simulations.

If a simulation is not yet finished, the left pane lists the simulation and indicates the percentage done.

When you simulate a Revit project for the first time, a new folder is created on the Results tab, and the analysis result is placed in the folder. If you perform subsequent simulations of the same project using the same values for Building Type, Building Operating Schedule, and Location/Weather Station, those simulations are placed in the original folder. However, if you simulate the same project using a different set of values for these variables, a new folder is created.

Changing the name of a simulation

  1. In the Results and Compare dialog, click the Results tab to see the list of simulations.
  2. Right-click a simulation name, and click Rename.
  3. Type the new name and press Enter.
Note: The Rename option is disabled if you are not logged into the Autodesk subscription account. To log in, click Sign In on InfoCenter.

Changing settings

In the Results and Compare dialog, click the Settings tab to add headers and footers and to select the charts to display in an analysis.

To change settings for a single simulation, in the left pane, click Energy Analysis. Then specify the header, footer, and charts to display.

To change settings for a side-by-side comparison of simulations, in the left pane, click Energy Analysis Compare. Then specify the header, footer, and charts to display. You can also specify whether the comparison is organized into rows or columns.

Restoring results

When you upgrade Vasari, results from your previous conceptual energy simulations are removed from the Results and Compare dialog. However, those results are still available on the server. To restore the results, click Restore on the Results and Compare dialog. A message displays the number of simulation results that will be restored. Click OK to continue with the restore operation.
