The downloads folder is a storage location for installation files that Autodesk Home downloads from Autodesk servers.
If there are several computers on your network running Autodesk Home, they can share the same downloads folder. When you use a shared downloads folder, installation files are downloaded only once, rather than being downloaded to each computer.
If you run out of storage space, you can change the location of the downloads folder. You can also make room by clearing the downloads folder. If any of the files you delete are required later, Autodesk Home downloads them on demand.
