Render Settings and Pricing

Settings

Use render settings to adjust quality, exposure, and environment for a rendering.

Standard settings provide a rendering that may meet your needs without taking more time or using additional Flex Tokens or Cloud Credits.

Final settings and large megapixel images require more time and additional Flex Tokens or Cloud Credits. Final quality provides lower noise and broader tonal range-perfect for archival rendering, when speed is not a priority.

For multi-view renders, each view is treated as a separate rendering. You must have enough Flex Tokens or Cloud Credits to render each view. The job cannot be submitted unless all views can be rendered.

Pricing

A new pricing model, Flex, was introduced to desktop products in September 2021. It was added to cloud-based services in March 2022. Flex introduced Flex Tokens which are used to submit rendering jobs and will eventually replace Cloud Credits for most users.

Starting March 29, 2022, for most users, only Flex Tokens will be available to purchase.

Using Flex Tokens and Cloud Credits

Flex Tokens and Cloud Credits cannot be combined. If both are available, you will be prompted to choose which to use prior to submitting a rendering job. After March 29, 2023, Flex Tokens will be the only way to submit rendering jobs.

Cloud Credit types cannot be combined. For example, if you have 5 Individual credits and 10 Shared credits, but an image requires 11 Cloud Credits, you will not be able to submit the render. Some users may have a mix of Individual, Shared, and Education entitlements associated with the same email address. In this case, Individual credits are used prior to Shared credits which are used prior to Education credits.

If you currently have Cloud Credits, they can be used until March 29, 2023 for Commercial users, depending on the purchase date.

Education users will continue to have access to Cloud Credits until further notice.
