The following standards have been implemented from both the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Highway Structures & Bridges Inspection & Assessment, have been implemented in the following areas:

• CS 454 Assessment of highway bridges and structures (formerly BD 21/01). This covers Load Optimization Assessment for ALL model 1 and 2, Accidental vehicle loading, Convoy vehicles and related actions.

• CS 455 Assessment of concrete highway bridges and structures (formerly BD 44/11). The implementation relates to Shear Design for Design Sections, Reinforced Concrete Beams and Pretensioned Prestressed beams. This covers the enhancement for shear at the beam ends and the uncracked section capacity.
