The topics in this section will help you understand how A360 is designed to facilitate file sharing, design reviews, and project communication in design and engineering workflows.
Projects are at the heart of A360. So, almost everything you do within A360 will be in the context of a project. You may upload content to your project, invite people to work on the project, view the latest updates within your project, review and comment on designs, or have a live review session with people connected to your project, including those who are not project members.
So when you start using A360, you’ll start with a project.
Within a project, you can have:
The A360 viewer allows you to view 2D and 3D designs as well as Office file formats within your web browser on any device. The viewer supports over 50 file formats. This means you don't need to install a separate application to view a specific file type. Click here to view a list of supported files.
Additionally, the A360 viewer includes Walkthrough, Pan, Zoom, and Orbit tools that allow you to view a designs from different perspectives, a search tool that allows you to find and view parts or components within a design, and Section, Explode, and Measure tools to examine your design in further detail.
The A360 viewer has markup and commenting features that allow you to review designs individually (asynchronous), and with other people on your project in real time (synchronous).
To do an asynchronous review, simply open the file and use the A360 viewer tools to view, markup, and comment on designs.
To do a synchronous review, open the file and start a live review session by inviting people. In a live review session, participants can use the viewer tools to manipulate the design, point to different parts of a design using the mouse, and use the chat window to communicate with other participants. Currently Markup and Comment tools are not available in the Live Review mode.
You can keep track of activities within your hub and track activities within a project. Updates that require your attention appear in Alerts on the top menu bar.
