Workflow: Project Setup

Follow the steps in this workflow to set up a project.

BIM 360 has two levels of administration: account administration and project administration. Before you can set up a project, the account administrator must create the project in BIM 360 account administration and designate you as the project administrator.

  1. To Add Companies or Subcontractors to a Project
    You can add companies or subcontractors to a project, or associate existing companies or subcontractors with a new project.
  2. To Set Up Project Details
    You can update BIM 360 Field project details, and set weather units for daily updates.
  3. To Add Members to a Project
    As a project administrator, you can invite members to a project. You can also assign member permissions and project roles, such as architect or subcontractor.
  4. To Edit or Delete a Project Member
    As a project administrator, after you add members to a project, you can edit their access rights.
  5. To Add Locations to a Project
    You can associate a location with an issue, checklist, or task. Locations, such as floors and rooms, describe an area in the project.
  6. To Add Checklists to a Project
    Create checklists for projects in BIM 360 Field.
  7. To Work with Files and Folders in the Library
    Add folders, and upload, move, or delete files and folders.
