You can share models between BIM 360 Glue and BIM 360 Field to enable connected BIM workflows.
Your Glue Administrator can prepare Glue models for sharing and add them to an existing BIM 360 Field project.

The BIM 360 Glue and BIM 360 Field data integration workflow allows for extended project collaboration. With the BIM 360 add-ins, you can share models from applications such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks with BIM 360 Glue.
Data integration allows you to share a version of a model coordinated in Glue with Field projects. Team members using Field can update the model with data such as installation status and commissioning information. Using the BIM 360 add-ins, you can sync any Field equipment properties added to shared models to the original Revit model. You can also append them for viewing in Navisworks.
The data integration process is as follows:
- With the BIM 360 add-ins, models from applications such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks are shared with BIM 360 Glue. In BIM 360 Glue, a Glue administrator creates equipment sets for the BIM model.
- In BIM 360 Glue, a Glue administrator shares the model with BIM 360 Field.
- In BIM 360 Field, a Field administrator adds the shared model to a Field project.
- In BIM 360 Field, the Field administrator uses the Manage Equipment Mapping wizard to associate the Equipment Sets (created from model objects) with Field equipment object properties.
- As the last step of equipment mapping, add Field equipment properties to the model. After the equipment mapping is complete, you can view these properties in Glue, in the model's object properties.
- With the BIM 360 Field mobile app, team members can update equipment records for the model in the field.
- In Revit, a team member can sync Field properties with to the Revit model shared with Glue and integrated with Field.
- In Navisworks, an integrated model can be added from Glue so that team members can view Field equipment properties in Navisworks.
