Getting started in BIM 360 Glue begins when you receive an email invitation to join a BIM 360 Glue project.
As a collaborator, you first receive an email invitation from a host organization such as a general contractor, engineering firm, or owner organization. From this invitation, sign in to your Glue account using your Autodesk ID, which is a combination of your username and password. This ID gives you single-sign-in access to multiple Autodesk sites.
After you've activated your Glue account, you can download the Glue desktop installer here: https://b4.autodesk.com/desktop/.
- In the Welcome to Autodesk BIM 360 Glue Email, click the project host link or the Get Started button to launch Glue. Each welcome email is meant for only one user. Do not forward it to others.
The first time you access Glue, you do so from the email invitation. As a project member, you are granted access rights that you cannot share with others.
- If you have host admin, project admin, or full or limited member access rights, wait until BIM 360 Glue desktop is installed before you sign in.
- If you have reviewer access rights, the Sign In with an Autodesk Account Sign dialog appears immediately.
- Sign in to BIM 360 Glue with your Autodesk ID.
- If you forget your password, click Forgot Your Password and enter your email address. Look for an email with your ID and instructions for resetting your password.
- If you don't have an Autodesk ID, click Need an Autodesk ID. Then enter your information and click Create.
If the user name is already in use or the ID is already associated with your email address, you are prompted to try again. To verify credentials or reset your password, go to http://accounts.autodesk.com/.
