Use the Options dialog to configure global BIM 360 Glue settings.
To open the Options dialog, click Profile menu Options while you are in a model. Most of these options are self-explanatory.
General
- 2D View. Show or hide.
- Navigation Toolbar. Show or hide.
- ViewCube. Show or hide.
- Camera. Prevent the camera from flipping as it orbits a model.
- Transparency. Adjust the slider.
- Markup Thickness. Line width.
- Selected color. Select a markup color.

Text Size
- Gridlines. Show or hide.
Background (Plain, Graduated, or Horizon)
- Color. Selects a background color.
Advanced
- Linear Units. Specifies the unit of measure for linear dimensions.
- Angular Units. Specifies the unit of measure for angles.
- Decimal Places. Specifies how many decimal places are used for measurements.
- Fractional Precision. Specifies fractional precision for dimensions.
Visibility
- Text. Show or hide text in AutoCAD drawings.
- Lines. Show or hide gridlines in AutoCAD drawings.

FrameRate
Graphics System (Autodesk or Basic)
- Hardware Acceleration. When enabled, allows BIM 360 Glue to use hardware acceleration features in your video card.
- High Fidelity Viewing. When the Autodesk graphics system is active, enables Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for a real-world ambient lighting effect. This option is recommended for advanced designs because it shows details more clearly. By default, this option is set to On. When a model view is being navigated, this effect is temporarily suspended
Model Pre-Fetch (Beta)
When working on high-speed internet connections, pre-fetching reduces the time taken to open models and merged models.

Pre-Fetch Enabled
Check this option to pre-cache models on to your machine before opening. We recommend you use this option only when working on a high-speed internet connection.

Threads (1-25)
Specify the number of threads used to pre-fetch the model data. Running more threads can improve performance, but may take more system/network resources.

Max Size (MB)
- Specify the upper limit on your pre-fetch model cache.

Clear Cache
Removes all items from the pre-fetch model cache.

Restore Defaults
Restore all options to their standard settings.

Cancel
Cancel your changes and return to the open model.

Save
Saves changes to Options settings.
