Issue Types and Sub-types

Defining issue types and sub-types allows you to specify information on project issues.

Project administrators can control the issue types available for selection, and add custom issue types or sub-types to make filtering issues more efficient. Members select sub-types while creating issues.

Create Custom Issue Types

Only project administrators can create issue types or sub-types.

  1. Click the Module Selector .
  2. Click the Services tab.
  3. Click Issues in the left panel.
  4. Click the Issue Types secondary tab.
  5. Click Create New Issue Type.
  6. Enter the name to appear in the Issue drop-down list.
  7. You can also change from Active to Inactive. Inactive keeps the newly created type from being available for use.
  8. Click Create.

Work with Sub-types

Click the arrow next to an Issue Type to expand the sub-types drop-down menu. You can add sub-types or edit/activate sub-types from the More menu .
