Customize Cost Management Tables

Customize Tab Names

Project administrators can customize Cost Management so that the tab names match the terms used by your company. You can also change the order of the tabs.

Caution: If you customize the tabs or column names, the instructions in the help may be hard to follow. As a best practice, create a spreadsheet of the changes for other Cost Management members that are not project administrators.

To customize tabs in Cost Management:

  1. Click .
  2. Select Cost Management from the left.
  3. Select the General tab.
  4. Go to the Tab Names and Order section.
  5. Enter replacement names in the Customized column.
  6. Select to reorder the tabs.

Note: The tab names seen in the videos (for example, Income) are customizable within Services.

Control Columns Order and Visibility

The tables in the Cost Management module can be difficult to deal with while extracting specific information. You can control the tables by snapping columns to the left or right, showing or hiding columns, changing the order of columns, or reset the default view.

Note: The tab names seen in the video (for example, Income) are customizable within Services.

Snap Columns

  1. Hover over a column in the table settings.
  2. Use the icons to snap to the left or right .
  3. Click again or select Reset to restore the default view.
Note: The snapped columns remain in their original order.

Show or Hide Columns

  1. Select or deselect the column by clicking the box in the table settings.
  2. Select Reset to restore the default view.

Change Column order

  1. Hover over a column in the table settings.
  2. Click the handlebar on the left and drag the column to the desired location.
  3. Use Reset to restore the default view.

Column Mode

The column mode presents change orders in a column.

This option is available in the Budget Payment Application, Main Contract, as well as in detailed view of Contract SOV, Cost Payment Application, and Contract.

To show change orders as columns, click the three-dot menu and select the view.
