Respond to RFIs

Reviewers must provide an official response to the original request.

Responding

These steps only apply to an assigned reviewer. After collaborating through comments, the reviewer provides an answer to the contractor. Co-reviewers can contribute through comments but can't provide the official response.

Note: Administrators can respond to RFIs on behalf of the assigned reviewer.
  1. Select Submit official response from the action banner:
    • Answered: Provides a form for an official answer to the RFI.
    • Rejected: Provides a form to explain the reason the RFI is not at the reviewer's discretion. Use this status for questions that are at the discretion of the contractor (for example, a process).
  2. Select Submit.
Note: Responding to an RFI automatically submits it back to the manager.

Managers who receive an RFI with an incomplete answer can re-open the RFI by selecting the Return to Reviewer option. This is not a formal revision process: it allows the reviewer to provide a more complete response.

Second Reviewer Workflow

When an RFI is forwarded to a second reviewer and answered, it's returned to the first reviewer. This flow ensures all parties are aware of the answer. The first reviewer can add comments and assign the RFI to the original manager.
