RFI Statuses
Learn about the status of RFIs. Changing the status can often help move an RFI through the RFI workflow.
The following list of statuses designates the responsible party for an RFI.
- DRAFT: Creators use Draft until the RFI has been completed to pass to a manager.
- SUBMITTED: Creators set the submitted status. Managers own the RFI once it is set to submitted.
- OPEN: Managers set the status to Open to assign the RFI to reviewers.
- ANSWERED: Reviewers set the status to Answered to provide an official response to managers.
- REJECTED: Reviewers set the status to Rejected to assign the RFI to managers. This status is used if the question is the responsibility of the contractor.
- CLOSED: Managers set the status to Closed to assign creators the RFI for their records after an official response.
- VOID: This status can be used when the information being requested is no longer relevant to the project.
