Select a grading limit in the Grading Objects Browser or in the Visualization Display to open this properties panel. Use this dialog to modify the constraints for individual grading limits.
Specifies the display name of the grading limit.
Select from one of the following slope constraint options for the grading limit.
Use Global Constraints. Specifies the Global Constraints specified in the Optimization Options dialog should apply to the grading limit. Click Change Global Settings to open the Optimization Options dialog.
Customize Slope Constraints. Enables slope constraint properties for the grading limit. When selected, you can edit slope constraint properties for the grading limit.
Max Slope. Specifies a maximum slope optimization constraint for the grading limit.
Min Drain Slope. Specifies the minimum drainage slope for the grading limit. For optimization, the grading limit must have an internal or external drain element or a specified Minimum Drain Inclination.
No Slope Constraints. Disables slope constraints for the grading limit. The minimum drainage slope is then zero and the maximum slope is infinity. When selected, the slope constraints cannot be edited.
Specifies that surface geometry aligns along a flat or asymmetrical plane dependent on the slope and drainage properties of the grading limit. The direction of this resulting sloped plane is defined by the Inclination Direction property.
When a grading limit considers its area as exclusive drainage, Grading Optimization will only recognize drain lines and low points within the grading limit. Drainage grading objects outside of the grading limit are ignored. Surface triangles outside of the grading limit, however, are influenced by the drain lines and low points of the exclusive drainage grading limit.
Specifies that every triangle on the surface has a minimum required inclination into a given angle as defined by the Inclination Direction property.
Specifies the direction of the Minimum Drain Inclination. In determining a direction, 0 is east; 90 is north; 180 is west; and 270 is south.
When working in the source drawing, click to use the Inclination Picker tool and click in the intended direction for the Minimum Drain Inclination.
Represents a depth of materials that should not be considered with the cut and fill data.
When enabled, the grading limit segments work to create a consistent slope along the line.
Specifies surface triangles along the boundary are fixed to their original elevations so grading does not occur outside of the grading limit.
Specifies the following global Objective Weights defined in the Optimization Options dialog should apply to the grading limit. Deselect a constraint to exclude it from optimization.
Balance Cut and Fill. A specified weight with which to minimize the difference between total cut and total fill.
Minimize Earthwork. A specified weight with which to minimize the total amount of earthwork (the sum of total cut and total fill).
Smooth Surface. A specified weight with which to minimize the grade change between adjacent triangles on the surface.
Specifies the color of the representative point, line segments, or areas of the grading object in the visualization display.
Enables the grading object to be included in the optimization. When deselected, it is ignored.
Enables the grading object to be seen in the visualization display. When deselected, it is hidden but still active.
